Dear Friends,

As I have told you many times before, I rarely rest when I am at home.  I decided to fill up the biggest hole I had left behind me, the syononymy of the Anatidae. As of today, Sunday 11 May, I have just finished Bucephala albeola.  Only about 6 more species to go. This has been a hell of a job,because ducks tend to have lots of synonyms! I have also been adding extra detail to the distribution, and adding materials to the Movements field.

More news on the upgrade front. The cost has now blown up to ca $5000.  With over 700 users per week, I am sorry that so far I have had only one kind offer of assistance.  This is for the benefit of users, so please email me at jpenhall@bigpond.net.au if you can help.
