Dear Friends,
I returned on Monday 16 June from a trip to Qinghai,China. This was a tough trip, as it mainly involved hiking up and down mountain slopes between 3500m and 5000m. But we saw some wonderful and rarely seen birds. This got my World Lifelist to 7032. As a number of the birds we saw involved splits, I decided to update the website for these splits. These include Chinese Spotbill, Anas zonorhyncha, and many of the Rosefinches. Check them out! Also check out Pink-billed Finch Urocynchramus pylzowi, which has been placed in its own family, the Urocynchramidae.
Enjoy.
